COUNCIL BY-ELECTIONS 05.09.19

There were three council by-elections on Thursday - one in Coventry, one in Yorkshire and one in Cumbria.  Labour continued to haemorrhage support to the Lib Dems, almost losing a seat to them in Hull.

Lab: 544 (18.6%) -16.4
Brexit: 193 (6.6%) New

Con HOLD

Penrith South, Eden District Council

Con: 222 (46.3%) +20.7
Ind: 189 (39.4%) New
Lab: 46 (9.6%) -1.9
Putting Cumbria First: 23 (4.8%) New

Con GAIN from Ind

St Andrew's & Docklands, Hull City Council

Lab: 837 (45.6%) -20.1
Lib Dem: 805 (43.9%) +30.7
Con: 193 (10.5%) -4.0
