SLOUGH MP FIELDS ANGRY CALLERS

The Labour incumbent for Slough came in for a rough time over the party's broadband pledge yesterday.  Appearing on Eddie Mair's LBC show, Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi heard from irate small business owner 'Leslie'.  Leslie runs a small internet service provider and was angry about Labour's pledge to nationalise broadband.  "You're talking absolute rubbish" the Labour candidate was told.

Singh Dhesi had a rather torrid time all round as he was also faced with an awkward call over Labour's plans for inheritance tax.  It wasn't quite as bad as an Abbott or a Thornberry car crash, but we heard the same old familiar line over and over again - "I'm sorry, but I don't have the figures in front of me".
