As expected, Amazon has purged social media app Parler from the internet. The tech giant made good on its promise to lock the self-styled free speech app out of its servers. Despite an earlier statement that Parler could be back online, potentially within a week, CEO John Matze told Fox News on Sunday that his company was struggling to find any alternative vendors prepared to host his app. Click below for that interview.
Even before this co-ordinated assault against online speech, these were dark days for liberty across the West. Ironically, the place where coronavirus originated now enjoys more freedom than we do. The Chinese government still has its Twitter accounts too, but then the actions of big tech in the last few days is straight out of their communist playbook.
