Labour deputy leader Angela Rayner has been sacked from two roles within the party this evening. She has been removed both as party chair and national campaign co-ordinator. She remains the deputy leader as this is an elected position.
The fact she's been removed as campaign co-ordinator suggests that she is being used as a scapegoat by Keir Starmer for the election disaster. A bold, potentially counter-productive, move. There may be trouble ahead.
John McDonnell has been among the Corbyn loyalists quick to exploit Starmer's decision.

not surprising is it Starmer trying to distance himself from the left!
