The Tory incumbent has smashed Labour for the Tees Valley mayoral position. UKIP and the Lib Dems fought this contest in 2017, but this time around it was a straight head-to-head.

Ben Houchen (Con) 121,964 (72.8%) +33.3%
Jessie Jacobs (Lab) 45,641 (27.2%) -11.8%
