The day after his lockdown-defying knees-up on Friday night, Keir Starmer was in Hartlepool yet again. This was his third visit to the town since the by-election was called, but rather than 'inspire' his troops on the streets he opted to tour the Liberty Steel factory. Alongside him were his deputy Angela Rayner and hapless by-election candidate Paul Williams.

As to how this latest photo opportunity contributes to Labour's prospects in Thursday's crucial by-election is anyone's guess, but the above snap of the trio is far from inspiring.
