RAYNER'S HOUSING HORROR

Angela Rayner endured a car crash interview with Trevor Phillips on Sunday regarding Labour's housing plans.  The Sky News host probed the government's figures on housing and migration, suggesting that more than five out of every seven new homes will house migrants.  It was a damning indictment and Rayner knew it.

Her response was floundering and contradictory, beginning with a very articulate: "Well, that's not the troof".  Then, despite moments earlier having described a 'desperate housing crisis' that Labour would address by building 'the homes we desperately need', she then blurts out that 'there is plenty of housing in the UK'.

Phillips interrupts her rambling by pointing out the blindingly obvious:  "This doesn't quite make sense".  Clearly, importing millions more migrants to the UK is not going to make housing more accessible to Brits, but then we are dealing with a government that treats the natives with utter contempt.
